Kids club

Joni: We just started a kids club for the children 5-12 years from all the Family homes here. So exciting!! I’ve been wanting to do this for so long and it’s finally become a reality. We have a ways to go in organization but we figure it’s better to start with something than not to start at all. Really I should give a lot of credit to John in our home who had a vision to go for it. So right now, because of popular demand, we have a soccer class once a week for the boys and a ballet class once a week for the girls. We accompany that with a special snack and an art project that they all enjoy. Our kids club has only been in operation for 3 weeks now but the kids have really enjoyed it so far. We want to make trips together to museums, water parks, the zoo, factories that make cool things and just have a fun way that they can get together with their friends to enjoy and learn.

Joni, I love hearing what you’re up to. Kid’s club is so much fun! I read your last post where you were saying that you were feeling a bit discouraged. I really understand those feelings. I’ve always loved being around you, the little that I have been. I enjoyed watching you with your kids and learned a lot from that. I so admire moms who really enjoy being with their kids! That makes me sound terrible, well I am. I do enjoy my kids a lot, now, but I really wasn’t as much of a “natural” as I thought I would be, back in the days when I thought I could do anything.
I loved talking with you and the SGA semminar and I’m sure I would love hanging out with you any day!
BTW, the on praise that you were talking about are priceless, I’ve been learning the same thing, “most gladly therefore will I also glory in my infirmities.” You are wonderful! Give our love to Vas too!

The was supposed to say “the lessons on praise.”

Maria! It is SO nice to hear from you! Thank you for that sweet note. I have so many great friends! BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your new baby. So happy too that you’ve found a new home. You’re a wonderful girl and one thing I really do admire about you, speaking of positiveness, is just that. That’s one thing I think of when I think of you–a trust in the Lord! A hi to Sam too!
