About Nyx
She uses art to campaign for charity drives and human-development issues.Former Public Relations Manager for Radioactive Productions in Kampala, she has also worked in and traveled Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, and the Philippines.
Nyx recently located to her home country, the Philippines, where she volunteers with terminally-ill children. The rest of her time is spent helping her parents keep peace and order in the three-ring circus of their home, in which she is the eldest of 13 siblings.

From 2002-2003, Nyx Martinez worked for an International Education Center in Thailand (International Educational Services) in assisting with the production of educational materials for children, teachers’ curriculums, etc.

In 2003, she served as an English teacher for Kindergarten students in Prasartwittaya Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi, Thailand. With her experience in the arts, she also worked with physically abused children.
She used therapy through art and music to encourage creativity among the traumatized children. This led to further interest in working as a volunteer in Africa, where she spent three and a half years.
