Working and living as a missionary in a foreign country can be difficult at best. The conveniences they give up can include such basics as running water, hot showers or consistent electricity, much less so things like broadband internet access. Sometimes they’re lucky enough to find a nice pay-by-the-minute internet cafe, but this access that we so much take for granted is still a rarity on some mission fields.

Time is also an issue; Full-time missionaries don’t usually have any spare time to handle the work that comes with maintaining and updating a blog. We wanted their stories to be told anyway, and we wanted to make it easy for them to tell those stories. So we built this site and they email us their blog posts and journal entries. Think of them as dispatches from the front.

Mike Moore and Justin Adair handle the posts and email communications with the site bloggers. Steve Martin runs the technical side and is our great god of geekness.
