Vas: Now our house is starting to look nice, though there is still a bit of work left which we will be getting to when we can but it’s comfortable and clean. The two main projects left, after the pool of course, which should be up and running in a couple of days, are the [...]

Starting up again

Vas: We are about to start our first Bible study in our new home and we have a couple of people who are going to attend it so I hope it will grow. I’ll let you know how it goes. It will take place tomorrow at 4 pm and it will be just to explain [...]

Finally!

March 23rd, 2007 | By Vas and Joni living in Mexico | More from Vas and Joni

Joni: Lack of posts = lack of Internet. Yes, we’ve been “out of touch with the world” for the last couple of weeks due to moving and then waiting on the phone company to get us hooked up to the Internet in our new location. You just don’t realize how dependent you are on all [...]

Vas: Well Justin, a typical day for me in The Family is first getting our 5 children up, dressed and ready for the day, and then we all go to breakfast. After breakfast we have an hour of devotions and 15 minutes of prayer time and then go into the other activities of the day. [...]

Singing

February 12th, 2007 | By Vas and Joni living in Mexico | More from Vas and Joni

Vas: Well last night the bad news is that I learned a Spanish song that’s quite popular here in Mexico and the public knows it like the back of their hand, but when it came time to play it live at the night club I completely went blank and sang it completely wrong. I was [...]

BBQ

February 8th, 2007 | By Vas and Joni living in Mexico | More from Vas and Joni

Joni: We had a lovely afternoon yesterday with two friends we met and invited over for a barbecue. One of them decided to grill all the food and went right to work. We brought our tables outside and had a nice time eating the deliciousness that Mexico has to offer. We had barbecued steak, chicken, [...]

Fighting in prayer

February 1st, 2007 | By Vas and Joni living in Mexico | More from Vas and Joni

Vas: Well I’m on my bed trying not to let the thoughts of all the things I need to get done disturb what is supposed to be my day off. I actually had a fever for half the day and most of the night so I was forced to rest and now I am feeling [...]

New moves

January 24th, 2007 | By Vas and Joni living in Mexico | More from Vas and Joni

Joni: Things have been very busy here, but with it has come a lot of progress for which we are very glad. One news item of interest is that we will probably be moving houses in one month. Actually the way we found this new house was a miracle in itself. For a while we [...]
